MBABANE – Government has confirmed the successful repatriation of Mr Pheap Rom, a third-country national who was received from the United States of America, to his country of origin, the Kingdom of Cambodia, this week.
According to a press statement released on 27 March 2026 and issued from Mbabane, signed by Acting Government Spokesperson Thabile Mdluli, the return of Mr Rom followed coordinated efforts between the Government of the Kingdom of Eswatini and the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
The process was facilitated through Cambodia’s Mission in Washington D.C in the United States of America, with support from the International Organization for Migration. Government expressed appreciation for the cooperation and goodwill extended throughout the process, including the facilitation of Mr Rom’s return and reintegration in Cambodia.
Authorities noted that the development forms part of ongoing efforts to address the presence of third country nationals currently residing in the Kingdom. Officials said engagements with countries of origin and international partners are continuing to ensure the orderly and humane repatriation of all affected individuals.
