Mbabane – Standard Bank Eswatini has injected E75,000.00 into the EEA’s Green Schools and Tree Planting Initiative, a significant move for environmental education across the kingdom. The donation, announced at a recent ceremony, places schools at the forefront of sustainability efforts.
The Eswatini Environment Authority expressed its appreciation for Standard Bank’s sponsorship. Speaking at the event, Mr. Mlamuli Hlatshwayo, Standard Bank’s Head of Business and Commercial Banking, spoke on how “Education is a catalyst for change.” He added that nurturing a culture of environmental sustainability from an early age is crucial, empowering learners to become responsible guardians of Eswatini’s land and natural resources.
Mr. Isaac Gcina Dladla, Executive Director of the Eswatini Environment Authority, commended Standard Bank Eswatini for its strategic and genuine investment in the future of the nation’s schools and the country as a whole. He described the funding as more than just money, calling it “an act of nation-building.”
