Mbabane – Newly appointed Enactus Eswatini Country Leader, Sabelo Dlamini, visited the Limkokwing University team this week as part of his ongoing engagements with student-led innovation projects.
During the visit, the team presented their project titled Re-Tile, which converts plastic waste into durable pavers, wall tiles, and floor tiles. The students not only developed a system for processing plastic but also created their own moulding mechanisms for shaping the tiles.
One of their early test installations — a set of pavers placed under a tap on campus — remains intact more than a year later, which the team says proves the strength and resilience of the product. 
Limkokwing University has supported the project by allowing real-world testing of the tiles on campus. Dlamini encouraged the team to take the venture beyond prototype level and explore its potential as a sustainable business that could create jobs for young emaSwati.
