MBABANE – Outgoing World Vision Eswatini National Director, Tinah Mukunda, has paid a farewell courtesy call on Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini ahead of her official departure in August.
The meeting took place on Monday at the Cabinet Offices, where both parties reflected on World Vision’s work in the country and its future plans. Mukunda, who has served at the helm of the Christian humanitarian organisation for several years, leaves behind a footprint in water provision, child protection, and gender-based violence interventions.
The farewell meeting also served as a platform for World Vision to brief government on an upcoming community water project scheduled for launch this Thursday at Tfutfukani in Mhlangatane, Hhohho Region. The initiative will benefit 200 households and is being implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Energy, the Eswatini Water Services Corporation (EWSC), and the local community. 
World Vision representatives shared their five-year plan, which targets reaching 329,000 people across Eswatini. Their strategy includes expanding psychosocial services for children and supporting national efforts to end violence against children and gender-based abuse.
Prime Minister Dlamini, during the engagement, reaffirmed government’s commitment to ensuring full access to water and electricity by 2030 and pledged continued collaboration with the humanitarian agency. He also contributed to World Vision’s ongoing strategy development process.
Mukunda’s successor, Mr. Amos Zaindi, is expected to assume the role soon.
