Wandi Ndlovu to face court over uncle’s death

JOHANNESBURG – Reality TV star Wandi Ndlovu is expected to appear at the Palm Ridge Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday following the death of her uncle, who was allegedly stabbed during a family altercation in Katlehong, Gauteng.

Ndlovu, 26, known for her role in the Showmax series This Body Works for Me, is being held in custody alongside her mother and sister, Ntombifuthi Ndlovu. The three were arrested last month after an incident that claimed the life of Linda Ndlovu, the uncle, who lived in a backroom at the family home.

The altercation is believed to have started around midnight when Wandi’s mother confronted Linda over loud music. According to police insiders, Linda allegedly struck his sister with a golf club during the argument. Bleeding and injured, she returned to the main house.

Wandi, Ntombifuthi, and a younger sister who is still in high school reportedly went back to confront Linda. During the scuffle, one of them allegedly stabbed him. Emergency responders declared him dead at the scene.

The Grade 11 sibling, a minor, was later released from custody. However, Wandi, her mother, and Ntombifuthi remain behind bars at Johannesburg’s Sun City Prison while investigations continue.

Police are yet to issue an official statement, but the case has triggered widespread attention online. A voice note alleged to be from Wandi’s maternal aunt — who claims to have witnessed the entire event — has also surfaced on social media.

Neighbours and community members in Katlehong say the incident has left them shaken. Linda, believed to have been the family’s main financial provider, was reportedly helping relatives while living in the backroom of a house recently renovated by Wandi after she returned from Nigeria.

The TV personality had reportedly undergone cosmetic surgery and claimed to be married while working abroad. Her public profile and lifestyle have drawn intense scrutiny since the incident.
