EEA hosts workshop on biodiversity and benefit sharing

MBABANE – The Eswatini Environment Authority (EEA), in partnership with the Eswatini National Trust Commission, today convened an awareness workshop on the Nagoya Protocol at Sibane Sami Hotel.

The session gathered researchers, community representatives, traditional knowledge holders, and traders to deepen national understanding of Access and Benefit Sharing (ABS) of genetic resources.

The discussions focused on how Eswatini can strengthen its approach to biodiversity conservation, ensure sustainable use of natural resources, and guarantee that communities benefit fairly from the use of their traditional knowledge and resources.
