Ezulwini – Eswatini Revenue Service (ERS) Commissioner General Brightwell Nkambule yesterday met with the Ministry of Tinkhundla to develop a joint plan aimed at strengthening engagement with businesses in local communities.
The meeting, held on Thursday, 21 August 2025, brought together Minister of Tinkhundla Sikhumbuzo Dlamini, Principal Secretary Nonhlanhla Dlamini, Under Secretary Ngcayizivele Dlamini, as well as Regional Administrators for the Manzini and Hhohho regions. Representatives from the Tinkhundla Administration Offices also attended.

This was a follow-up to earlier talks held on 13 August, with the focus now shifting to practical steps. It was agreed that Regional Administrators would organise meetings with chiefdoms to introduce the Bafundzise Campaign, a programme designed to engage businesses and raise awareness on tax and customs matters. Permission from traditional structures will be sought before the rollout.
ERS will prepare a regional rollout schedule with dates for implementation, while the Ministry of Tinkhundla and ERS will jointly handle mobilisation and communication in the affected communities.
