Minister tours Sigma Blue factory

Matsapha – The Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade, Honourable Manqoba Khumalo (MP), toured the newly renovated Sigma Blue factory in Matsapha today, marking a key moment for one of Eswatini’s leading textile manufacturers specialising in ladies’ wear.

The visit focused on the company’s role in job creation and industrial development, with Sigma Blue currently employing about 850 workers at its Matsapha facility. The factory manufactures garments for major retail groups such as Foschini and PEP, linking Eswatini’s textile industry to regional supply chains.

During the tour, Honourable Khumalo noted that Sigma Blue relocated to its new premises in August last year, a move described as an important step in the company’s expansion. The relocation followed extensive renovations aimed at improving production capacity and working conditions.
