Namibian Correctional Service Commissioner General Raphael Tuhafeni Hamunyela urged the graduates to maintain discipline and uphold professionalism as they step into their roles as correctional officers.

This year’s pass-out parade was held under the theme “Phoenix Rising from the Ashes,” a theme chosen to reflect resilience, renewal and transformation, mirroring the journey recruits go through during training as they are equipped with the discipline, skills and mindset needed to promote safety, security and rehabilitation within correctional facilities.

Sergeant Langa earned special recognition from Namibian authorities, including keynote speaker Honourable Lucia Iipumbu, Minister of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security, for his role in training recruits, particularly his drill instruction work showcased during the ceremony.

HMCS extended congratulations to all graduates and reaffirmed its commitment to excellence, integrity and service to the nation.
