Mbabane – The Ministry of Natural Resources and Energy announced today that diesel 50ppm S and illuminating paraffin will both be reduced by E3.00 per litre, marking the second decline since June.
In June, diesel 50 ppm S was decreased by E2.40 per litre, while illuminating paraffin was reduced by E2.90 per litre.
Unleaded petrol will also decrease by E1.50 per litre, a fall from last month’s 90c increment.
It follows a drop in international crude oil prices, which traded at an average of USD 91 per barrel, down from an average of USD 110 per barrel in May 2026, as a result of the recent diplomatic breakthrough in Middle Eastern geopolitical tensions. South Africa announced fuel price reductions yesterday.
In June, the Lilangeni/Dollar exchange rate increased marginally, to an average of E16.37, up from E16.52 in May. The new price schedule will take effect on Friday.
New fuel prices:
- The price of Unleaded Petrol (ULP95) will decrease from E26.17/litre to E24.67/litre.
- The price of diesel (0.005% S) will decrease from E29.20/litre to E26.20/litre; and
- The price of illuminating paraffin will decrease from E23.38/litre to E20.38/litre.
