The Ministry of Home Affairs has notified the public that the Mahamba Border Post, a key transit point in Shiselweni Région, is currently closed. The shutdown, triggered by a technical fault on the South African side, began earlier today.
The ministry urged travellers to redirect to other open crossings: Gege, Sicunusa, Nsalutje, or Lavumisa. No reopening date has been provided yet. Officials are working with counterparts in South Africa to restore services as quickly as possible
The ministry has urged the public to follow official communication channels for real-time updates regarding the status of the Mahamba crossing.
