World Vision Eswatini’s Mantambe Area Programme joined dozens of stakeholders for the Shiselweni leg of the National Career Expo, where more than 800 young people from across the region explored career options, entrepreneurship, and employability pathways.
Held under a multi-sectoral partnership involving government ministries and private companies, the expo took place in Shiselweni and brought together learners from more than 65 high schools, including registered children under World Vision’s Gifts-In-Kind (GIKs) initiative. All schools within the Mantambe area were represented.
The gathering focused on equipping both in-school and out-of-school youth with skills relevant to Eswatini’s evolving labour market, especially in response to findings from the 2022 National Skills Audit Report, which identified major gaps in skills development and job readiness. 
Participants had access to information booths hosted by various partners, including World Vision, which shared insights into its community programmes and the ongoing ENOUGH campaign addressing child protection and rights.
Minister of Labour and Social Security, Phila Buthelezi, was also present at the event and interacted with learners and stakeholders.
