Consumer outreach hits Tinkhundla communities

The Eswatini Competition Commission, in partnership with the Ombudsman of Financial Services (OFS), the Central Bank of Eswatini (CBE), and the Eswatini Energy Regulatory Authority (ESERA), concluded a series of consumer engagement sessions across various Tinkhundla centres on 3 July 2025.

The outreach took place in Pigg’s Peak, Nkhaba, Nhlambeni, Sandleni, Ntontozi, Mtsambama, Dvokodvweni, and Vuvulane, targeting community members with information on their rights under the Fair Trading Act of 2001 and the Competition Act of 2007.

This ongoing consumer empowerment campaign was launched in 2024 by the Ministers of Commerce, Industry and Trade, and Tinkhundla Administration and Development, with the aim of strengthening public understanding of regulatory protections and fair business practices.
