Justice Minister meets regional rights leaders

MBABANE – The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs received a high-level delegation from Kenya and Zambia on Thursday, during a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening collaboration on human rights and governance.

The visiting delegation included Dr. Benard Mogesa, Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights, and Dr. Pamela Sambo, former Commissioner of the Zambia Human Rights Commission.

They were joined by the Chairperson, Commissioners, and Executive Secretary of the Eswatini Commission on Human Rights and Public Administration/Integrity (CHRPA).

Held in Mbabane on July 24, the meeting opened space for dialogue on enhancing national human rights systems and building stronger regional cooperation. Discussions also focused on how National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs) can play a more active role in advancing justice, constitutional values, and institutional accountability.
