Bongani Dlamini to speak at Music Imbizo 2025

Durban, South Africa – Bongani Dlamini, a prominent figure in Eswatini’s arts and culture scene, will be speaking at The Music Imbizo 2025 in Durban, South Africa. The event, slated for August 26 to 30, will gather leading voices in music, culture, and innovation from across the continent.

Dlamini, who serves as the Sales and Marketing Manager for Eswatini’s internationally recognized MTN Bushfire and Standard Bank Luju Food & Lifestyle Festivals, is well-known for his deep passion for arts development throughout Africa. He brings a wealth of experience to the discussion, having been actively involved in the continent’s entertainment industry for years.

In 2009, Dlamini established Events Eswatini, an event management company dedicated to promoting African arts and culture. His leadership has been crucial to the company’s achievements. He then joined the Bushfire team in 2014, quickly becoming an essential member. By 2018, his contributions led to his appointment to the Bushfire Advisory Committee, where he continues to provide strategic guidance.

His expertise in tourism marketing was further recognized in 2022 with a nomination to the Eswatini Tourism Authority Marketing Committee. In this role, Dlamini plays a vital part in shaping and promoting Eswatini’s tourism landscape. His dedication to advancing African arts and culture, coupled with his strategic skills in sales and marketing, has significantly helped in the growth and global recognition of Eswatini’s premier festivals.

The Music Imbizo 2025’s program is a dynamic mix of panel discussions, workshops, showcases, competitions, and networking sessions. This year’s theme, “At the Root of Innovation is Culture, Creativity, and the Power of IP,” aims to educate, empower, and connect the African music industry while promoting the value of cultural identity and the protection of intellectual property.
