Lesotho prime minister tours Perth Mint

Peth, Australia – Lesotho Prime Minister Ntsokoane Matekane visited The Perth Mint in Australia on Tuesday as part of his official trip to attend the 23rd Africa Down Under Conference.

Founded in 1899, The Perth Mint is Australia’s only government-owned and guaranteed precious metals enterprise. It specialises in refining gold and silver while producing collector coins, bullion bars and luxury jewellery for international markets.

During the tour in Perth, Matekane was shown the Mint’s manufacturing process, which includes the crafting of gold, silver and platinum products.
