Manzini – Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs Bongani Nzima has officially launched a government funded recording studio worth E1 million in Manzini. The facility, developed through the Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture, is designed to provide a platform for artists across different creative fields.
The new centre consists of three sections, namely an art painting studio, a music studio and a podcast studio. Speaking during the opening ceremony, Nzima said the facility was already in use, with disability artists making recordings for the upcoming Disability Festival.
He described the studio as a home for the country’s creative sector, noting that it is equipped with digital music technology and will be used for a variety of productions, including music, documentaries and art development programmes. Nzima also welcomed collaborations with broadcasters, parastatals and the private sector to expand opportunities for young people. 
The launch was attended by parliamentarians, including members of the Ministry’s Portfolio Committees.
