Ministry of Commerce meets business bodies to boost investment

Mbabane – The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade (MCIT), led by Minister Manqoba Khumalo, held a high-level meeting with the Federation of Eswatini Business Communities (FESBEC) and the Eswatini MSME Chamber of Commerce to strengthen collaboration on investment, industrialisation and citizen economic empowerment.

Minister Khumalo provided updates on key legislative reforms, investment promotion initiatives and flagship programmes. He detailed progress under the Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority where projects valued at E37 billion have been announced, preparations for the second Eswatini Investment Conference, and developments around the Eswatini International Trade Fair, which continues to grow as a major platform for trade, business networking and investment promotion.

FESBEC shared findings from its nationwide consultations with business communities since 2025, while the MSME Chamber confirmed its role as an implementation partner to Government in bridging policy and practice, supporting MSME formalisation, financial inclusion, and grassroots empowerment.
