MBABANE – Preparations are at an advanced stage for the Mabonakudze Outdoor Movie and Camping Night scheduled for 23 May 2026, as organisers roll out plans for what is being billed as a unique entertainment experience in the Kingdom of Eswatini.
Event organiser Sifiso Ndlangamandla said the team is finalising arrangements for the gathering, which is already attracting significant attention on social media platforms across the country. Pre sale tickets are currently available at E200, with growing interest from prospective attendees.
The event will bring together film lovers, families and adventure seekers for an outdoor cinema experience that blends movies, leisure and overnight camping. Guests are expected to bring their own tents, picnic blankets and cooler boxes, while also dressing in sleepwear such as pyjamas, gowns or jumpsuits to match the theme.
A giant outdoor screen will be installed for the movie screenings, supported by heaters to keep patrons warm during the night and lighting installations designed to create a lively atmosphere. Organisers have also planned a variety of food and refreshment options, including a popcorn bar, candy stations and a food market. Pillows will be provided to add comfort for those attending.
Ndlangamandla confirmed that international actors and actresses are expected to attend the event, although their identities will not be revealed beforehand. Instead, they will appear on the day as a surprise element aimed at enhancing the overall experience for patrons.
The event is being delivered in partnership with Lungsta Entertainment, which will handle sound, screen setup and overall production to ensure quality delivery.
