Manzini – Business leaders and institutions gathered at The George Hotel on Friday as the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade hosted an awards ceremony recognising excellence across Eswatini’s industrial sector.
The event, led by Honourable Manqoba B. Khumalo, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade brought together stakeholders to celebrate organisations driving quality, innovation and growth in the country’s economy. The ceremony was held under the theme “Quality Infrastructure Support to Industry, particularly MSMEs,” focusing on the role of standards, metrology and certification in strengthening competitiveness and trust in local industries.

Among the top winners, Stefanutti Stocks Construction Swaziland walked away with Organisation of the Year in the large enterprise category, while the National Disaster Management Agency received the same honour in the MSME category.
In the product categories, Eswatini Meat Industries together with Master Meats Global secured Product of the Year for large enterprises, while Swazi Tiles Investments claimed the MSME award.
The National Maize Corporation earned Service of the Year in the large enterprise division, with the National Psychiatric Referral Hospital taking the MSME category.
Rhodes Food Group Eswatini was named Exporter of the Year, while Cebsile Bhembe received the Quality Ambassador of the Year award.
Speaking during the ceremony, Khumalo said quality remains central to industrialisation, trade and consumer confidence, adding that strong national quality systems give local businesses the capacity to compete beyond Eswatini’s borders.
The ministry reported that government continues to strengthen the country’s National Quality Infrastructure and support small businesses through initiatives such as the Ingelo Certification Scheme, aimed at ensuring locally produced goods meet recognised standards and can access broader markets.
