EZULWINI – About 20 women entrepreneurs took part in an intensive financial literacy session today at ECODEC, marking the start of the Accelerator Phase of SEDCO’s Women’s Microenterprise Mentoring and Capacity Building Project.
The session focused on moving participants from basic record-keeping to strategic financial management, essential for scaling their businesses and competing in international markets.
In partnership with Taiwan ICDF and the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade, SEDCO guided the entrepreneurs through mastering cash flow, understanding profit and loss, building balance sheets and creating bankable financial models to attract investors.
The training also covered product costing for scale, helping participants price their goods effectively while safeguarding profit margins. Organizers said the programme is designed to develop competitive, industrialized enterprises that contribute to a more prosperous Eswatini.
