Mbabane – The Eswatini Electricity Company (EEC) has announced planned power outages for both Monday, 27 April 2026, and Tuesday, 28 April 2026, affecting several communities across the country due to routine maintenance, new connections, line relocation and project construction work.

On Monday, the Elangeni depot will carry out new connection work affecting Sitjeni Primary School, Esitjeni Umphakatsi and surrounding areas from 10:00hrs to 14:00hrs.
In Mankayane, a line relocation project will see Dvudvusini, Ekuthokozeni and surrounding areas without power from 10:00hrs to 16:30hrs.
The Manzini depot will also carry out new connection work on Monday, with Ngculwini near Luhlokohla School losing power from 11:00hrs to 14:00hrs.

In the Hluti depot area, residents around Zindwendweni Clinic, Zindwendweni Primary and High School and surrounding areas, as well as Siphambanweni, will be without power from 09:00hrs to 16:00hrs.
In Matsapha and Manzini, outages will affect Mhlane, Sigodvweni and surrounding areas from 09:30hrs to 16:00hrs, while St Michaels, Siyeni, Sterksroom, Central High School, Central Filling Station and Tincantfwini will lose power from 10:00hrs to 16:00hrs.
The Manzini Mankayane depot will carry out new connection and routine maintenance work affecting Nyakeni, Salukazi, Magida, Bhekinkhosi, Ngwempisana RDA, eFakudze Station, Zimeleni and surrounding areas, with outages running from 11:00hrs to 15:00hrs and 09:00hrs to 16:30hrs respectively.
In Malkerns, residents in Luhleko, kaVilakati Station, Msahweni, Madikizela and surrounding areas can expect no power from 10:00hrs to 17:00hrs as project construction work gets underway.
The EEC has urged members of the public to treat all electricity structures as live at all times for the duration of the planned interruptions and has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
