Manzini – The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade has awarded the construction tender for the long-awaited Manzini Mall project to a joint venture between WBHO and J&E Manzini Mall Joint Venture.
Minister Manqoba Khumalo made the announcement on Tuesday, saying construction is expected to run until October 2027, with around 3,000 workers to be engaged on the project during that period.
Stefanutti Stocks is currently finalising the platform for the temporary bus rank, which will pave the way for full construction works to begin.
Once complete, the mall is expected to create approximately 1,500 permanent jobs, with the government positioning the development as a key driver of economic growth, investment attraction and urban revitalisation in Manzini.
Khumalo said the project reflects the government’s commitment to fostering industrial growth, creating sustainable employment and building a conducive environment for local and international investment in Eswatini.
