Eswatini, Malkerns – The Eswatini men’s cricket team tops the standings with three wins in the Eswatini Cricket Association (ECA) Ubuntu Tri-Nations T20I Series 2026 after facing Mozambique and Lesotho at the Malkerns Country Club Oval.
Eswatini is hosting the countries for the ECA Ubuntu Tri-nation Cup with games played between June 02 and 08, 2026, at the Malkerns Country Club cricket ground with the Lesotho and Mozambique teams in a triple-round group stage for the spot of the top two (2) teams that will battle it out June 8, 2026, for the final.
The hosts are currently in the lead and heading into the final after thrilling and explosive batting performances of the sport. In their first-day match of the tournament with Mozambique, Eswatini bowled 237/4 from their 20 overs after winning the toss.
Mozambique fought bravely behind, finishing on 199/5 as Eswatini secured a convincing 38-run victory. Captain Adil Butt was the Player of the Match with 116 runs from just 58 deliveries.
Mozambique and Lesotho followed in the second match, with Mozambique posting a formidable 217/4 from their allotted overs and securing a dominant 110-run victory. Lesotho bowled out for 107 in 15.3 overs. Joao Jorge Hou of Mozambique had 126 from only 55 balls to claim the Player of the Match award.
Eswatini, again in the morning fixture, faced Lesotho in the 3rd T20I on matchday two. Eswatini posted a strong total of 221/8 from their 20 overs, claiming an impressive 84-run victory, while Lesotho could only reach 137/6 at the end of their innings.
The afternoon saw Eswatini and Mozambique face off in the fourth T20I. Mozambique defeated Eswatini for the first time, winning by five wickets and keeping the title race wide open.
On matchday three, Mozambique once again faced Lesotho, with Mozambique securing a victory by 22 runs, condemning Lesotho to another defeat. In the afternoon match, Eswatini and Lesotho battled it out in the 6th T20I match of the series. Winning the toss, Lesotho batted first, but it backfired with Eswatini dismissing Lesotho for 91 runs in 14 overs to reach the target in only 8.1 overs.
ECA has previously hosted the Mozambique men’s team in a bilateral series in 2022 and 2025, while the Lesotho men were on tour to Eswatini in 2024 for a bilateral series.
