Manzini – The first Chiefs Summit, billed for Manzini from June 30 to July 3, will focus on enhancing governance and chiefdoms.
The summit will bring together chiefs from various chiefdoms of the Manzini area, serving as an orientation for newly appointed chiefs while reminding them of their chieftaincy obligations and responsibilities, as well as their code of conduct.
Launching the summit, Manzini Regional Administrator Prince Gija told journalists at the RA offices in Manzini of the dates.
The prince went on to say that the summit would also provide a platform for chiefs to discuss their experiences, ideas, and challenges as they carry out their duties, and that it is part of the Manzini Regional Day programme. More events, such as Heritage Day and a business walk, will take place on July 30 and 26.
