Ezulwini – The Eswatini Revenue Service has launched a two day Tax and Customs retreat with Members of Parliament, as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation and deepen understanding of tax and customs compliance in the Kingdom.
The retreat, which runs from 5 to 6 August 2026, will cover tax and customs compliance, enforcement processes, new revenue initiatives, and integrity and whistleblowing mechanisms. ERS said the programme is meant to build awareness, encourage voluntary compliance and support effective revenue administration in Eswatini.
ERS Commissioner General Brightwell Nkambule said the engagement is built on cooperation and shared responsibility. 
“Collaboration and shared responsibility are key to building a stronger revenue system that supports Eswatini’s growth.”
House of Assembly Speaker Hon. Jabulani Mabuza said MPs and ERS are working toward a common goal.
“Members of Parliament and the ERS share a common goal, building a stronger and better Kingdom of Eswatini.”
ERS Manager for Taxpayer Education and Information Cebolenkhosi Mahlalela reminded the public that the income tax filing season is open. He said clients facing internet challenges can use kiosks at service centres to submit their returns, adding that staff are available to help.

ERS Director of Customs Technical Precious Chauya said customs compliance plays an important role in fair trade, protecting society and strengthening the economy through partnership.
“Customs compliance supports fair trade, protects society, and strengthens Eswatini’s economy through partnership.”
