His Majesty King Mswati III on Thursday received letters of credence from the ambassadors designate of Algeria and Tanzania during a ceremony held at Lozitha Palace.
The envoys were Algeria’s Ambassador designate, His Excellency Malek DJAOUD, and Tanzania’s Ambassador designate, His Excellency C.P. Hamad Khamis Hamad.
The credentials formally mark the beginning of their diplomatic assignments to the Kingdom of Eswatini. 
During the meeting, King Mswati III restated Eswatini’s commitment to strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation with Algeria and Tanzania across various sectors.
The King also encouraged the incoming ambassadors to explore additional areas of cooperation by engaging the country’s business community and other relevant stakeholders.
Delivering his message, Ambassador DJAOUD conveyed greetings from Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to the King and the people of Eswatini.
“Your Majesty, I would like to convey the warm and fraternal greetings of my President Mr Abdelmadjid Tebboune, as well as his wishes for good health, happiness and prosperity for yourself and for the brotherly people of Eswatini.”
The Algerian envoy pledged to work towards strengthening relations between the two countries.
“On this occasion, I would like to assure you of my full commitment, to sparing no effort in strengthening the ties between our two countries and reinforcing bilateral relations in areas of common interest.”
He said he was prepared to work with Eswatini’s authorities to identify new opportunities for cooperation and establish frameworks for dialogue, consultation and partnership.
“I am also open to look and examine, with the high authorities of the Kingdom of Eswatini, the existing potential and the pursuit of innovative ways of cooperation, starting first through a legal framework and mechanisms for dialogue, consultation and partnership which should be established.”
Ambassador Hamad said Tanzania valued its longstanding friendship and cooperation with Eswatini, citing African solidarity, mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and a shared commitment to development and prosperity.
“Tanzania attaches great importance to its longstanding friendship and cooperation with the Kingdom of Eswatini. Our two nations are united by the enduring values of African solidarity, mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and shared commitment to the development and prosperity of our peoples.”
He said there was room for the two countries to expand bilateral cooperation and strengthen economic partnerships.
“We believe there are significant opportunities for our two countries to expand bilateral cooperation and deepen economic partnerships for the mutual benefit of our peoples.”
The Tanzanian ambassador also pointed to tourism and conservation as areas with potential for stronger exchanges between Eswatini and Tanzania.
“We are particularly encouraged by the growing interest in strengthening exchanges in tourism and conservation, areas in which Tanzania is blessed with exceptional natural attractions, rich biodiversity and a unique cultural heritage. We would be deeply honoured to welcome Your Majesty to Tanzania at a mutually convenient time.”
