EZULWINI – Women professionals in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) gathered at the Royal Villas on Friday for a networking event organised by WomenEng Eswatini to foster collaboration and support among women in the sector.
The Royal Science and Technology Park (RSTP) was among the institutions represented, with its Acting CEO attending the event. The meeting aimed to create opportunities for women in STEM to share experiences, build mentorship networks, and discuss strategies to increase female participation in the industry.
Commerce, Industry and Trade Minister Manqoba Khumalo, who delivered the keynote address, commended organisers for their efforts to break barriers and open more doors for women. He referred to the annual RSTP STEM Expo as one of the key programmes helping to bridge the gender gap in science and innovation by exposing young women to career paths in the field.
The event brought together leading women in academia, research, engineering, and information technology, with discussions centred around professional development, access to funding, and workplace inclusion.
