MBABANE – Business Eswatini CEO E. Nathi Dlamini has been appointed Chairman of the Jury for the 2025 Made in Eswatini Consumer Choice Awards, set to take place on Friday, 25 July.
Dlamini, one of the country’s most trusted business voices, will lead a diverse jury tasked with selecting the most outstanding locally made products and brands. The announcement was made by Melusi Zox Dlamini, Chairman of A Peculiar People, the organisers of the awards.
“His leadership brings credibility and value to a platform that celebrates the best of Eswatini’s homegrown innovation,” said Melusi Zox Dlamini.
This year’s panel of adjudicators includes:
- Yolanda Stewart (A Peculiar People) – Secretary
- Philipa Thorne (Gone Rural BoMake & Bushfire Marketplace)
- Wandile Motsa (ENIDC)
- Thandwa Dlamini (MTN Foundation)
- Manqoba Dlamini (FNB Eswatini)
- Akhona Dlamini (Pick n Pay Eswatini)
Over 100 products have already been nominated across various sectors, reflecting growing confidence in Eswatini’s capacity to produce competitive consumer goods.
Organisers have invited consumers to continue nominating their favourite local brands via WhatsApp at +268 7871 8970. Nominations close on 14 June, with public voting set to run from 20 June to 20 July.
To qualify, nominated products must:
✔ Be Made in Eswatini
✔ Be Legally Registered and Trading
✔ Have a Distinct Brand Identity
✔ Be Easily Traceable on Digital Media
Winning products will receive the Symbol of Excellence, a distinct endorsement badge meant to increase consumer trust and boost market appeal.
“This conferment is a mark of trust,” said Melusi Zox Dlamini. “It will signal to the world that these are the products and brands worth investing in, promoting, and celebrating.”
