EZULWINI – The National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA) convened key sector stakeholders today at Sibane Sami Hotel to advance Eswatini’s Multi Hazard Early Warning System, aimed at improving the country’s disaster preparedness.
The session brought together experts from climate science, agriculture, health, water resources, environment and infrastructure planning to coordinate efforts in producing the Quarterly Multi Hazard Bulletin. This bulletin will connect scientific forecasts with community-level preparedness plans, enabling authorities and residents to respond before hazards escalate into disasters.
The initiative seeks to equip decision-makers, communities and various sectors with timely, reliable information to tackle threats such as droughts, floods, epidemics, wildfires and other risks.
