Ministry of Health launches mobile cancer screening clinics

Mbabane – The Ministry of Health has unveiled four new mobile cancer screening clinics valued at E7.6 million, aimed at expanding access to early detection services across the country. The mobile units, funded through a government-backed World Bank loan, will operate regionally to strengthen Eswatini’s fight against cancer, with a particular focus on cervical cancer.

Minister of Health Mduduzi Matsebula said the initiative seeks to improve treatment success and survival rates by detecting cancer at its earliest stages. He noted that bringing screening services closer to communities will remove barriers related to distance and cost, ensuring more citizens can receive vital health checks.
