Young people and community members in Theodore Care Point have begun receiving new digital skills training following the launch of an AI and Digital Literacy Programme led by the Ministry of Information Communications and Technology in partnership with UNESCO, The Global Seed Foundation and Theodore Care Point.
The launch took place earlier today and brought together government representatives, development partners and local stakeholders working to expand technology access in rural Eswatini. The programme is designed to support children and community members with essential skills needed in a rapidly changing digital world.
Dream Innovations Inc founder and Global Seed Foundation co founder Raymonda Delaware Alexander delivered the keynote address, telling attendees that the initiative encourages creativity, technological curiosity and leadership among young learners as they prepare for future opportunities. 
The Ministry was represented by the Director of Research Science Technology and Innovation Dr Rejoice Maseko, who stated that the programme aligns with the Government in Your Hand strategy. She noted that the initiative shows the Ministry’s commitment to ensuring that children across the country, including those in rural areas, gain access to digital tools and learning platforms that support their development.
