Mbabane – The Ministry of Natural Resources and Energy has reassured citizens that fuel supply across the Kingdom is stable, despite global supply chain pressures.
HRH Prince Lonkhokhela, Minister for Natural Resources and Energy, told the public that the increase in demand is largely linked to expectations of rising prices, rather than actual shortages. He said the Government is actively working with oil companies to maintain continuous availability.
“The situation is under control and is being closely monitored,” the Minister said, warning against panic buying and stockpiling, which could create safety risks and disrupt distribution networks. 
To mitigate the impact of international fuel fluctuations, the Government has been using the Fuel Strategic Oil Reserve Fund and is in the process of developing a Strategic Oil Reserve Facility to strengthen long-term fuel security.
Citizens are urged to avoid storing fuel in non-approved containers and to act responsibly to prevent interruptions in the supply chain.
