Mbabane – Motorists across Eswatini are now paying significantly more per litre to fill up their cars, as of Friday, 3 April 2026, with Unleaded Petrol 95 rising by E2.90 per litre and Diesel 0.005 per cent S increasing by E5.35 per litre.

These increases mean drivers with a small 37 litre tank will now pay E107 more per fill up for petrol, while diesel motorists with the same tank size will pay about E198 more.

Those with larger tanks are feeling an even heavier impact. Motorists with 80 litre petrol tanks will pay about E232 more per tank, while diesel drivers with the same capacity will pay roughly E428 extra. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Energy announced the new prices this week, citing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East that disrupted global fuel supply logistics and pushed Brent crude to an average of US104 dollars per barrel in March, compared to US69 dollars in February.

Government reported that under recoveries reached as high as E12.14 per litre, with oil companies recording a combined deficit of E332 million for March and April. The amount will be covered through the Strategic Oil Reserve Fund to cushion consumers.

From 3 April 2026, the official pump prices are as follows:
