Siphofaneni – The Eswatini Development Finance Corporation (FINCORP) and the Eswatini Sugar Association (ESA) recently brought together farmers in Siphofaneni for a two-day Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Awareness Workshop, taking the conversation about safety and equality directly into the community.

The workshop covered a range of topics including gender equality as a driver of sustainability, GBV awareness and workplace safety facilitated with the involvement of the Royal Eswatini Police, how to report and resolve issues through the Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM) system, and the road towards stronger policies that protect everyone.

Farmers who attended the workshop showed strong participation throughout the two days, asking questions, sharing personal experiences, and committing to carry the lessons learned back into their homes and workplaces.
