The Lubombo Regional Headquarters Fraud Unit is hunting for a Sigombeni man wanted in connection with multiple theft by false pretence cases in the Siteki area.

Mkhuleko Ronald Mavuso is accused of selling motor vehicles he did not own, defrauding unsuspecting buyers out of hundreds of thousands of emalangeni. His co-accused has already been arrested.

In January 2025, a 34-year-old man from Luyengo paid E270,000 for a Volkswagen sedan sold to him by Mavuso. The buyer only discovered something was wrong when he was driving the car in South Africa and two men suddenly blocked his path, claiming to be the rightful owners of the vehicle.
