Manzini – The Ministry of Health has announced that Manzini Government Hospital will begin collecting user fees with immediate effect from 1 June 2026, bringing the facility in line with other government hospitals across the Kingdom.
Under the new fee structure, patients visiting the hospital during normal working hours on weekdays will pay a consultation fee of E10. Visits made after working hours, over weekends or on public holidays will attract a fee of E20.
All patients are required to bring their national identity card or an acceptable substitute document to facilitate registration and fee processing at the facility.
The changes also apply to patients accessing the specialist Smart Healthcare Outpatient Clinic run by the Taiwan Medical Mission at the hospital.
User fees will further be charged for radiology services, covering X-ray, CT scan and ultrasound procedures, as well as laboratory services. Patients are required to pay at the Revenue Collection Point before proceeding to the relevant department for any of these services.
The announcement was made by Ministerial Communications Officer Nsindiso Tsabedze on behalf of the Ministry of Health, which is headquartered at the Ministry of Justice Building along the Mhlambanyatsi/Usuthu Link Road in Mbabane.
