Malkerns – Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade Manqoba Khumalo has officially opened Malkerns Parkview, a new commercial development aimed at serving the growing needs of the Malkerns community.
The development was officially opened today, with the minister describing it as an example of how private sector investment can contribute to economic growth, job creation and the development of sustainable communities.
Malkerns Parkview brings retail outlets and essential services closer to residents, giving the community increased access to goods and services while providing new opportunities for businesses operating within the area. 
The development is also expected to benefit employees, local suppliers and other businesses involved across its wider supply chain.
Speaking during the opening, Khumalo said government, through his ministry, remained committed to creating an environment that encourages investment and supports the growth of micro, small and medium enterprises.
The minister said this included improving access to markets and supporting sustainable economic growth through an enabling business environment.
He also called for continued private sector investment that responds to the needs of communities, while ensuring that economic growth creates practical benefits for emaSwati.
According to Khumalo, these benefits should include employment opportunities, entrepreneurship, improved access to markets and better quality of life for communities.
The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade congratulated the developers, tenants, business partners and the Malkerns community on the opening of Malkerns Parkview.
