Standard Bank Eswatini has presented the 2025 Blue Sheroes Award to the Minister of ICT, Savannah Maziya, recognising her leadership in advancing the rights and inclusion of women and girls in technology and digital spaces.
The award, given under the United Nations theme “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment,” was handed to Minister Maziya on Monday during a brief ceremony attended by representatives from the bank and government officials.
Maziya was recognised for her role in promoting STEM education for girls, pushing digital inclusion policies, and representing Eswatini on global stages, including the United Nations.
“Thank you to Standard Bank. Thank you to the people of this wonderful country who have voted for me. I’m very touched. I’m very humbled,” she said, expressing gratitude during her acceptance. “Being honest, being credible, following ethics, believing in the country and working in the country is a privilege.”
The Ministry of ICT extended its congratulations, describing her as a figure of integrity and inspiration.
