MBABANE – The Youth Chamber of Commerce and Industries – Eswatini (YCCIE) has reported a busy first quarter of 2025, marked by a series of partnerships, community engagements, and skills development initiatives aimed at empowering young entrepreneurs across the country.
Between January and March, the chamber signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development and held strategic engagements with city councils in Manzini, Mbabane, Ezulwini, and Malkerns. These efforts are part of a broader push to support youth participation in the local economy and expand business opportunities at the grassroots level.
YCCIE also took part in Eswatini Science Week, where it connected with innovators, and participated in International Trade Centre (ITC) workshops focused on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) financing. 
Set to launch this year is the Sakha Live Project, a flagship programme that will train 100 young people in market-relevant skills, form 60 multipurpose cooperatives across six municipalities, and introduce six new spaza shop models. These include Quick Bite, Tech & Lifestyle, and others designed to meet diverse community needs.
