MBABANE – Women driving change in business, education, philanthropy and public service were recognised on Friday, 23 May 2025, at the Women of Impact Leadership Forum, hosted by the Wom-pact Foundation under the theme “Honouring Her Leadership, Celebrating Our Journey.”
The forum, held in Mbabane, brought together over 100 women leaders and young professionals for an afternoon of reflection, mentorship, and celebration of feminine leadership across sectors.
Among the keynote speakers was Andile Mtetwa Amaeshi, Director General at Eswatini Civil Aviation Authority and CEO of KMIII International Airport, who spoke on the role emotional intelligence plays in effective leadership, drawing from her dual experience in aviation and executive management.
Philanthropist and Executive Director of The Luke Commission, Echo Nomsa VanderWal, shared insights on how purpose-driven innovation can transform vulnerable communities, speaking on her journey co-founding the Luvelo Innovation Hub.
Award-winning entrepreneur Miliswa Mamba, Director of SiyeSwatini TransMagnific, explored how to move from vision to execution in business, while veteran educator and peacebuilder Tizie Maphalala spoke on using one’s voice for social change, especially through advocacy.
Beyond the panel discussions, the event took a heartfelt turn as several Eswatini women were honoured for their consistent work in community leadership, with tributes paid to their courage, resilience and service. Organisers said the honourees were not being recognised for their titles, but for their character and the impact of their contributions.
