Kwaluseni – A total of 100 teachers have completed an intensive workshop on generative AI, hosted at the UNESWA AI Academy, with the programme wrapping up today under the guidance of MTN Eswatini’s Internal Audit and Risk & Compliance teams.
The week-long training introduced educators to practical uses of artificial intelligence in the classroom, with a strong focus on data privacy, digital responsibility, and classroom innovation. The sessions helped teachers understand how to incorporate AI tools into their teaching while protecting personal information and respecting learners’ rights.
Educators who took part said the experience not only simplified aspects of their work but also sparked fresh engagement from students. Many described the tools as making lessons more dynamic and relatable.

Participants of the workshop will now be inducted into a growing AI Teaching Community of Practice, a digital support space created by the AI Academy. The platform aims to foster collaboration, offer updated AI teaching materials, and allow teachers to share successes and challenges.
The initiative was made possible through the support of SC Zondi Attorneys and Nando’s Eswatini, who partnered with MTN to ensure a smooth and engaging programme.
