Mbabane – Government officials underwent training on a new digital platform aimed at improving Eswatini’s ability to monitor and report on human rights obligations.
The session, held on Tuesday, brought together members of the National Mechanism for Reporting and Follow-Up (NMRF) Secretariat and officials from key ministries. The focus was on the National Recommendations Tracking Database (NRTD), a web-based system designed to strengthen how the country records and follows up on human rights recommendations.
The training was held in Mbabane and facilitated with support from the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Eswatini.
The NRTD allows users to systematically collect data, track the country’s progress, and generate detailed reports as part of Eswatini’s human rights reporting obligations.
