Mbabane – Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini yesterday welcomed Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams of Ghana to the Private and Cabinet Office during his visit to Eswatini for the ongoing Women at the Well (WAW) Conference at the Jesus Calls Worship Centre in Matsapha.
The Archbishop commended Eswatini’s leadership for safeguarding the Kingdom’s cultural identity and heritage despite global pressures. He offered words of encouragement, expressing his wish for Eswatini to “endure, outlive, and outlast” challenges and to remain a nation that Africa can take pride in.
During their meeting, the Prime Minister briefed him on preparations for the upcoming Traditional Leaders Conference, where His Majesty the King, serving as an African Union Champion, will bring together Kings, Queens, and traditional leaders to strengthen African governance structures.
The Prime Minister also spoke about the central role of faith in national life, pointing to the tradition of Their Majesties leading national prayers at the beginning and close of each year.
Before leaving, Archbishop Duncan-Williams prayed for the Kingdom and its leadership, which the Prime Minister described as a blessing and a timely encouragement for the nation.
