Mbabane – Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla, joined by Minister Sikhumbuzo Dlamini, Prince Phuhlaphi, and Chief Ndzabankhulu Simelane, departed King Mswati III International Airport this afternoon for Ghana. They will represent Their Majesties at the state funeral of Queen Asantehemaa Nana Konadu Yiadom III.
Queen Nana Konadu died on August 7, 2025, at the age of 98. She was renowned for her commitment to education, women’s empowerment, and preserving Asante culture and traditions.
The Asante Kingdom will hold a four-day state funeral at Manhyia Palace to honor her contributions.
Earlier this year, King Mswati III visited Ghana, engaging in official activities aimed at strengthening collaboration and reinforcing historical and cultural ties between Eswatini and Ghana.
