ESERA accredits first solar PV installers

Mbabane – The Eswatini Energy Regulatory Authority (ESERA) has completed its first Solar PV Installer Accreditation Assessments, marking a significant step towards formalising professional standards in the country’s solar energy sector.

The three-day assessment was held this week under the Solar PV Installer Accreditation Programme. The first day tested Level 2 PV Mounters, focusing on theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to work under supervision.

On the second and third days, candidates undertook the Level 3 PV Installer assessment, where they demonstrated their competence in designing, installing, and commissioning solar PV systems safely and efficiently.
