Minister backs MTN Fak’ivibe campaign

EZULWINI – The Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology has expressed strong support for MTN Eswatini’s new Fak’ivibe campaign, praising its focus on youth empowerment, innovation, and customer service.

The launch took place today at Mahlalekhukhwini House, attended by MTN leadership, partners, customers, and government officials. The Minister of ICT said the campaign, along with the revamped Lula Combos, demonstrates MTN’s commitment to making data more accessible and affordable, particularly for youth and tertiary students who rely on connectivity for learning and innovation.

The Minister noted that bridging the digital divide in universities and communities is essential to unlocking Eswatini’s future and that initiatives like Fak’ivibe align with the Ministry’s agenda to ensure no citizen is left behind. She praised MTN for its community-focused programmes, including Y’ello Care and support for small businesses through trade partnerships.

Highlighting the importance of partnerships between government and industry, the Minister urged other ICT stakeholders to follow MTN’s example in delivering value and excellent customer service. She also encouraged MTN staff to carry the Fak’ivibe energy into every customer interaction to drive innovation and service excellence.

The Ministry reiterated its commitment to digital transformation, stating that connectivity is a service every Liswati deserves, regardless of location, and is a catalyst for education, entrepreneurship, and social inclusion.

“By empowering our youth, we empower our future. Promoting digital inclusion strengthens our nation,” the Minister said, congratulating MTN for contributing to Eswatini’s digital progress and expressing optimism for continued milestones.
