The Tata Punch has received its first facelift since launch, now featuring a turbocharged engine and refreshed styling, though the update has not yet been approved for South Africa.
The exterior takes cues from the larger Curvv with a new front bumper, redesigned grille, LED headlights, dual-tone 16-inch alloy wheels, and a full-width LED light bar at the rear. Inside, changes are more subtle with a new steering wheel, digital climate control on higher trims, a seven-inch digital instrument cluster, and upgraded infotainment displays of eight and 10.25 inches. Safety and tech updates include six airbags, an eight-speaker sound system, a 360-degree camera, and improved wireless smartphone charging.
The new turbocharged 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine, taken from the Curvv, delivers 88kW and 170Nm and is currently offered only with a six-speed manual gearbox. The naturally aspirated 1.2-litre and CNG versions remain available with five-speed manual or automated manual transmissions. 
In India, prices start at Rs 559 000 (around R101 000) for the entry-level Smart model and reach Rs 1 054 000 (around R191 000) for the top-end CNG Accomplished+ S. Turbo variants are priced between Rs 829 000 and Rs 979 000.
Tata has confirmed the updated Punch will only reach South Africa after local approval, with the current lineup featuring five models across four trims powered by the standard 1.2-litre petrol engine and priced between R244 900 and R339 900.
