Mbabane – The Ministry of Natural Resources and Energy has reported that Eswatini is currently experiencing fuel supply difficulties due to ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.

Speaking after a meeting with local oil companies, Honourable Minister HRH Prince Lonkhokhela reassured the public that fuel remains available in the country, although some suppliers have begun rationing.

“The Government and oil companies are working together to manage the fuel supply situation,” the Minister said. He added that international fuel prices have risen, and new prices will be announced soon.

HRH Prince Lonkhokhela noted that Eswatini’s complete reliance on imported fuel, primarily from South Africa and Mozambique, has exposed the country to global supply disruptions. The Ministry will continue providing updates as the situation develops.
