MALABO – His Majesty King Mswati III has arrived safely in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, to attend the 11th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States.
The King, accompanied by Inkhosikati LaMbikiza and a delegation from Eswatini, landed in the host country on Thursday night ahead of the high level engagements scheduled from March 27 to 29, 2026.
Upon arrival, His Majesty was received by Equatorial Guinea Prime Minister Manuel Osa Nsue.

The summit, held at the Sipopo Conference Center in Malabo, brings together leaders from 79 member states under the theme An Organisation transformed and renewed in a changing world. The gathering marks 50 years since the formation of the OACPS in 1975.
According to the official programme, pre summit activities began on March 26 with thematic forums bringing together experts, young leaders, institutional representatives and development actors to refine strategic priorities ahead of the main summit.
On March 27, a special session of the OACPS Council of Ministers was scheduled from 10.30 am to 1.00 pm, followed by a dialogue with strategic partners in the afternoon.
The OACPS focuses on key priority areas including climate action and resilience, trade and economic integration, digital transformation, youth, gender and human development, as well as peace, security and governance.
The organisation promotes fair trade, regional cooperation and inclusive economic growth among its member states. It also works to strengthen partnerships that advance education, skills development and sustainable livelihoods across Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific.
The current Secretary General of the OACPS is His Excellency Moussa S. Batraki, elected in February 2025. He previously served as Chad’s Minister of Economy, Development Planning, Land Affairs, Housing and Urban Development.
Under the high patronage of President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, Equatorial Guinea is hosting the summit, with national authorities leading preparations and coordination of the event.
Through his participation, King Mswati III is representing Eswatini in discussions aimed at shaping policies and partnerships that support inclusive development, regional cooperation and economic transformation among member states.
